Is the glass half full or half empty? Or perhaps the analogy is not in this economy, work, because people Busted in reality only if we have reached the bottom of this bitter drink bad banks, housing markets and layoffs. The answer seems so difficult to see how a good analogy.

However, the rally of shares being started banking with good news in recent months and this trend will continue. Wells Fargo & Co. said last week it expects to post record profits for the first quarter of 2009. This week brings reports of other major banks such as Citigroup, Goldman Sachs Group Inc. and JPMorgan Chase & Co.

Wells Fargo will receive $ 25 billion in bailout funds from the government, which is smaller than the other major banks. Solid quarter of the bank and a company to rush mortgage. The Associated Press reports that “Wells Fargo will receive about $ 190 billion in applications for mortgages, a jump of 64 per cent in the previous quarter. More than 40 percent of that amount came in March.”

So it seems that good news for both the banking and housing. Although a large proportion of refinancing applications has shown that 25 per cent of customers want to buy a new home. Wells Fargo CFO Howard Atkins, told the AP that government efforts to reduce interest rates and other programs for the housing industry at bay helped. But he refused to appear too optimistic. “It is premature to conclude the economy has become,” said Atkins. “I can only say that we see a lot of business.”

There was mixed news in the sector jobs in the past week, with inscriptions in unemployment falls more than expected, but there are still received a record number of people receiving unemployment benefits. According to AP, economic analysts and the Federal Reserve is expected that this trend will continue this year as companies adapt to the changing economy.

Retail sales, by showing the other hand, some signs of stabilization.
According to AP, the discounters like Wal-Mart Stores Inc. continues to be a moderate increase in profits. Although sales have fallen to other retailers, the decline was smaller than expected.
Thus, the bottom of the bitter drink for? “In difficult economic times turn, the Americans, to see the numbers to see if things improve. Gauging the mood in the Republic can not be quantified, “said AP National Writer Ted Anthony recently.

It’s even harder to quantify, although the figures will give you different stories and nobody seems to stick to his neck, proclaiming the end of the recession. Although Anthony has admitted there are subtle signs that things get better, he was ready to say that things could always “less bad”.

According to Anthony, “figures of the index Mood Gallup consumption has increased 6 points for the week ending April 5, the week the fourth consecutive year, they came out. The index is now higher than in the worn in over a year – perhaps due to the High rampant stock market. And an AP-GfK poll shows the number of Americans who believe the country in the right direction has more than doubled from October to February – 40 percent. Not that it’s all good, mind you. just, well yes, less bad “.

The United States of America, together with NATO in Afghanistan in question. Now, more forces will be sent to Afghanistan. What will be the consequence? What the United States of America to win by fighting in Afghanistan?

More enmity with the Islamic world –

The immediate gain is not to win, but a great loss – resulting in a rivalry with the Muslim world. The Muslim world hates the Western powers to come to their country and fight. Why the United States of America then this fight? Can the Taliban be defeated? One can believe that, with the type of local support available, the Taliban will never be defeated.

Tribal leaders have dealt with Afghanistan for years. Most of them joined the Taliban. They do not want a central government or democracy. The leaders of the tribe to decide on any laws. What the United States of America, the country in a unit of a single central government ruled from Kabul to combine. After years of fighting, in short, the Afghan president Hamid Karaz does not extend beyond Kabul. NATO troops and U.S. soldiers are fighting against the tribes have joined the Taliban for years. But to achieve what? This struggle may last for years without any result.

The best way to protect the free nations of terrorism is to increase domestic security. Do they do what they want in Afghanistan, but we do not have what they United States of America in force. This approach reduces the growing hatred of Muslims against the West. Some airlines are not only for democracy. Impressive, is a useless task for them, we may be inclined to think.

None of the countries of the world want to be told how to govern. You want to be left alone, since for centuries. Some countries are ill-Western values and have their own system, they want to continue. People do not support American actions in their country. With this kind of recession, why the U.S. wants another Vietnam?

With the construction of two solar thermal systems in Southern California for Pacific Gas and Electric, Southern California Edison and the provision of solar energy was 2.3 gigawatts started. At Southern California Edison is very concerned about the world’s largest solar energy.

The plants under construction are larger, but less expensive than most of the construction of new facilities. This type of solar thermal systems are cheaper to build than coal-fired power plants to be cheaper than gas plants, and they build faster.

As Robert F. Kennedy Jr., said a spokesman for the environment over the past 25 years: “When the plants are up and running, energy is free. There is no need to go to Saudi Arabia and drilling holes in the ground, then pump oil and refine it and then distribute the ship across the Atlantic with a military escort, and kept in regular wars in Mesopotamia and elsewhere, and then the oil in the entire country.

The electrons strike our country free … free fall, the sun all day. If we build these facilities, to take account of electrons, and the infrastructure they provide, we can make our lines … And if we build on this land, we can 100% of energy, according to the requirements of that country, in cooperation with other clean energy sources, about 750 billion U.S. dollars. ”

Kennedy argues that 750 billion less than the amount of dollars that we export to buy foreign oil each year. “The taxpayers have unwittingly given 700 billion dollars on Wall Street, and everyone believes it will take generations to repay. But it’s really only one year, without our financial expenditure on foreign oil. ”

What we must do this work is a simple square. This is what the Americans claim. We need a free market that does what is supposed to make a market in which to reward good behavior, punish bad behavior, efficiency and inefficiency and waste is.

Today we have a market that is manipulated to promote the dirtiest, filthiest, most toxic, expensive fuel of hell. We need a market, design premium clean, cheap fuel from the sky. We can do it very quickly. For example, in 1979, in America, a national network has started a national backbone for the Internet. In 1980, there were fewer than 500 PCs in this country, and IBM said it was a technology issue. Now, every American has a PC, because we had a deal. Take a look at the effect that had on the cost of information. It fell to almost nothing. The same thing will happen with the costs of electrons, if we follow through and build a national network of electricity in this country.

Another example, in 1996, President Clinton signed the Telecommunications Act, opening up the telecommunications network, and has brought a revolution in national and global telecommunications. Therefore we have an iPod. Today, there are companies that provide long distance and unlimited local calls for $ 18 per year. This will affect the cost of energy, if we build a national market, works in a simple way.

We must ensure that the rules of the market with our national interests are aligned with the interest of saving the planet. We must ensure that our utility companies money by allowing you to bring their customers to conserve energy, and that their profits are not dependent on them selling as much energy as possible. And then we need to open the network to save everyone. If you have a solar panel on top of it, and you’re away from home for part of the day, and your home more energy than it is with, you will be able to sell the energy network, and bring the market price does not. But there is no state in which you can do today. Thirty-six states to buy your products again, but each of them to limit how much, and none of them will give you the market rate.

If we follow through this issue, we are all Americans, an energy entrepreneur, making a power plant in every home, and we can not this country from the U.S. initiative and entrepreneurial spirit of energy, power, the Saudi oil.
